Tax Project Manager, Digital Transformation & Innovation

Job Summary

The Tax Project Manager, Digital Transformation & Innovation will lead technology development projects within the BDO Tax Digital Transformation and Innovation team. This role involves overseeing project plans, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing project risks.

Job Duties

• Leads project planning and implementation of technology development projects
• Closely works with the Product Manager and Deployment Lead to align projects with product objectives and company goals
• Utilizes a hybrid project management approach, incorporating both waterfall and agile methodologies
• Manages project timelines, scope, and resources
• Reviews and analyzes project financials and budgets
• Uses project management tools and software to track progress and communicate status updates
• Facilitates communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders
• Identifies and manages project risks and issues
• Maintains and updates project documentation throughout the lifecycle
• Conducts post-project evaluations to improve future project management practices

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Technology, preferred
• Experience with project management, mentoring teams, and software development lifecycle, required
• Five (5) years of experience as a project manager, project coordinator, or similar role, with a focus on technology development projects, preferred
• Experience working in the tax or accounting professional services industry, preferred
• Experience working with multinational teams, preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification, preferred
• Scrum Master or Agile Certified Practitioner, preferred
• Software proficiency with project management tools, required
