Job Summary

The Tax Project Manager, Digital Transformation & Innovation will lead technology development projects within the BDO Tax Digital Transformation and Innovation team. This role involves overseeing project plans, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Job Duties

  • Leads project planning and implementation of technology development projects
  • Closely works with the Product Manager and Deployment Lead to align projects with product objectives and company goals
  • Utilizes a hybrid project management approach, incorporating elements of both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Manages project timelines, scope, and resources
  • Reviews and analyzes project financials and budgets
  • Uses project management tools and software to track progress and communicate status updates
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders
  • Identifies and manages project risks and issues
  • Maintains and updates project documentation throughout the lifecycle
  • Conducts post-project evaluations to capture learnings and improve future practices

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Technology, preferred
  • Experience with project management, mentoring teams, and software development lifecycle, required
  • Five (5) years of experience serving as a project manager, project coordinator, or similar role, with a focus on technology development projects, preferred
  • Experience working in the tax or accounting professional services industry, preferred
  • Experience working with multinational teams, preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification, preferred
  • Scrum Master or Agile Certified Practitioner, preferred
  • Software proficiency with project management tools, required
