About the role

Join our dynamic and diverse community of Public Accounting professionals where you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, mentor junior employees, and manage engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a keen understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and apply them in daily work.
  • Create and preserve positive client relationships by communicating effectively with Firm Leadership and ensuring timely completion of work.
  • Show attention to detail and thoroughly revise completed work for accuracy.
  • Identify potential issues and present solutions for complex client issues and problems.
  • Manage multiple client profiles, employee development, and additional firm responsibilities while meeting client expectations and deadlines within established budgets.
  • Review workpapers of Associates and Supervisors and provide comments for correction or adjustments.
  • Ensure that all review comments are successfully addressed and cleared.
  • Stay updated on key changes regarding Tax standards, laws, and regulations and share insights with team members.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Associates and Supervisors within your Leadership Circle and YHB Office.
  • Develop and demonstrate strong research, analytical, and communication skills to ensure clients remain compliant with tax regulations.
  • Handle issues that may be outside of existing knowledge base or identify appropriate resources to assist clients.
  • Generate leads and turn them into new business opportunities, participate in YHB marketing activities, and assist in proposals and presentations.
  • Represent YHB publicly by accepting speaking opportunities, authoring articles, and promoting teamwork within YHB.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field required.
  • CPA Certification preferred.
  • A high level of integrity and ability to respect confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledgeable of firm policies and procedures.
  • An enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude.
  • Demonstrated time and work management skills necessary to manage a complex workload.
