Tax Compliance Agent I
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phones and provide information to customers as part of a contact center.
- Research and respond to taxpayer inquiries.
- Take payments.
- Work in a fast-paced and high call volume environment.
- Provide tax information.
- Explain and apply policies and procedures to taxpayers.
Qualifications
- Can handle being on the phone for a majority of a workday.
- Has exceptional customer service skills.
- Has the ability to handle the occasional escalated call.

Pay
Non-state employees are hired for this position only at entry level, $21.31 an hour. We are unable to negotiate hourly wage amounts.
Schedule
This position is eligible for a remote work schedule after you have been fully trained. These positions may be eligible for remote work from anywhere in Utah (work must be performed in Utah). Effective July 1, 2025, you are required to work in-office two days a week and three days remote.
