Key Responsibilities Receive extensive training to learn the interesting process to legally establish paternity and child support orders and/or enforce orders by collecting child support and enforcing other provisions within the order. Verify and/or correct balances which may be owed, determine appropriate legal action including garnishment, lien, etc. Prepare documentation in support of cases presented in court hearings. Conduct research to gather evidence, analyze facts, and apply knowledge of the Office of Recovery Services rules, regulations, and policies. Qualifications Proficiency in a technologically driven environment with intermediate to advanced computer skills. Exceptional ability to multi-task and quickly make decisions. Strong customer service and communication skills with an ability to assist people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism without prejudice or bias. Ability to effectively contact individuals or organizations to secure delinquent payments, and/ or make payment arrangements for money owed. Effectively interpret, clarify, explain and apply agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal or state laws and regulations. Preferred Or Trainable On The Job Qualifications Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing. Strong communication skills. Takes direction as well as initiative.
