Tasting Room Educator

About the role

This is a dynamic role, and while primarily focused on customer service, it also involves a range of other tasks as would be expected in a small winery team. This role is ideal for someone who loves hospitality but is also excited to contribute to brand visibility, customer engagement, storytelling, and the behind-the-scenes operations that help a small winery thrive.

Responsibilities

• Show up each day stoked and ready to pour wine and positively interact with customers.
• Develop an in-depth knowledge and passion for our winemaking, story, vision, and brand.
• Know how to be professional, detail-oriented, and serious about the wines we make, while still being awesome.
• Present and pour wines with genuine enthusiasm, creating memorable experiences for our customers.
• Know how to work independently and with a team, have a good head on your shoulders, and make good decisions.
• Build connections with our customers through tastings, phone, and our company’s text message services.
• Work with the team on tasting room metrics with a focus on meeting sales goals.
• Develop intimate knowledge of POS (Commerce7), reservation software (Tock), and text message service (RedChirp).
• Additional back-of-house tasks such as order fulfillment, tasting room maintenance and upkeep, stock and inventory management.
• Contribute to on-site and off-site events as needed.
• Social media experience is a bonus. We love team members who enjoy helping tell our story by assisting in content creation.

• Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Schedule

Full-time; Weekend availability is required. This position requires availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays.
