About the role

Join Rombauer Vineyards as a Tasting Room Assistant (Retail Service Support Worker) and play an essential role in creating exceptional guest experiences. In this hands-on position, you will help maintain a welcoming, organized, and customer-focused environment while supporting tasting room operations, retail sales, and hospitality experiences.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and customer-focused environment
• Support daily tasting room activities by keeping workspaces stocked, clean, and guest-ready
• Assist with product merchandising, maintaining inventory displays, and helping prepare for guest visits and special events
• Collaborate with teammates to welcome guests, support reservations and retail transactions, and provide information that enhances the overall winery experience
• Ensure visitors enjoy memorable interactions that reflect our commitment to quality, service, and hospitality

Requirements

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate
• Experience in a team-oriented environment
• Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Skilled in writing simple correspondence
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers
• Skilled in carrying-out simple instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Required to be at least 21 years of age or older
• Required to work holidays, evenings and weekends
• Lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

• Associate degree
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of hospitality or customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
• Experience in wine industry
• Experience in Point of Sale (Commerce 7 and Tock) systems
• Skilled in the use of MS Outlook and MS Excel at a basic level

Skills

Strong customer service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment
