About the role
As a Tasting Room Back of House Assistant, you will serve as an ambassador of the company, exemplifying excellence in customer service. You help set the tone for the winery experience and ensure every guest feels a positive and genuine connection with the winery. This is a part-time, hourly role eligible for tips, requiring availability on evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Clear tables following use, including wiping down tables, refilling waters, and replenishing crackers as needed.
- Wash and buff glassware and other dishware items.
- Replenish wine, merchandise, and other items to support shift operations.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the tasting room.
- Assist with food orders according to presentation guidelines as needed.
- Support winery and private event setup, execution, and breakdown as instructed by management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Food Handler’s Permit required.
- Strong communication, customer service, and sales skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Goal-oriented and able to work as part of a team.
- Flexible availability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
- History of responsible alcohol use and fitness for licensing by state/local regulatory bodies.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Pay
$17.13 - $20.05 per hour based on relevant experience. Individual offers depend on prior experience and education level.
