About the role

We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Supervisor to lead recruitment operations and support hiring strategies in Richmond, Virginia. This position oversees a small talent acquisition team while partnering with leadership to improve the candidate experience, strengthen onboarding practices, and maintain efficient HR processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach two talent acquisition team members, setting priorities and monitoring performance to ensure hiring goals are achieved.
  • Partner with organizational leadership to develop effective recruiting strategies that attract candidates with relevant experience across a range of roles.
  • Oversee the full hiring lifecycle, including job posting coordination, candidate screening, interview scheduling, offer support, and onboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and employee data within HR systems and ensure records are updated in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Collaborate with HR partners on onboarding, employee relations matters, and benefits-related questions to support a positive employee experience.
  • Review recruitment workflows and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and service quality.
  • Prepare hiring activity reports and provide updates on recruiting progress, staffing challenges, and team performance.
  • Support department initiatives involving recruiting operations or internal process changes when needed, ensuring minimal disruption to hiring activities.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting operations, or human resources leadership.
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring direct reports within a recruitment or HR function.
  • Working knowledge of employee relations, HR administration, benefits coordination, and onboarding practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and other systems used to manage recruiting and employee information.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple openings, deadlines, and team priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze hiring processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement practical solutions.
