Talent Acquisition Specialist (Temporary - 6 Months)
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and collaborative Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist to join our team. This role is temporary (6 months) with the opportunity to become permanent and is hybrid, requiring in-office work 3 days per week.
About the role
The TA Specialist conducts full-life-cycle recruiting for internal and external roles, collaborating closely with hiring managers to identify, source, interview, select, hire, and onboard top talent in support of hiring initiatives and strategies across a specified division or area.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains relationships with hiring managers to determine workforce needs and execute a high-volume recruitment and onboarding strategy.
- Manages the full-life-cycle recruitment process (sourcing, pre-screening, assessments, ATS management, background checks, substance screening, offer letters, onboarding) for all candidates within a designated region or area.
- Utilizes direct sourcing, internet recruiting, networking, employee referrals, and creative sourcing to identify qualified candidates.
- Develops a thorough understanding of the recruitment marketplace, establishes networks, and maintains awareness of competitor data, industry trends, and best-in-class recruitment practices.
- Extracts and analyzes data from ATS and other TA systems; provides weekly reports to key stakeholders and recommends process improvements.
- Tracks candidate status and onboarding within the ATS; actively dispositions candidates to maintain accurate documentation for recruitment efforts, applicant flow, interviews, hires, and other activities.
- Develops and maintains relationships with trade schools and military bases as talent resources.
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations regarding selection and onboarding; provides guidance to hiring managers on legal requirements (e.g., interviewing, ban-the-box, adverse action).
- Attends and coordinates recruitment and hiring events; tracks attendance data for future event planning.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, and/or HR, with preference for experience in skilled trades, high-volume, or multi-unit recruiting.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferably Greenhouse.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with HR operations, including hiring, payroll, employee benefits, labor law, and compliance.
- Willingness to travel within the designated region up to 25%.
Pay
Pay Range: $35 USD – $38 USD per hour.
