Talent Acquisition Specialist (Temporary - 6 Months)
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and collaborative Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist to join our team for a temporary assignment (6 months) with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role. This position is hybrid, requiring in-office work 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains relationships with hiring managers to determine workforce needs and execute a high-volume recruitment and onboarding strategy.
- Manages full-life-cycle recruitment process (sourcing, pre-screening, assessments, ATS workflow, background checks, substance screening, offer letters, onboarding) for designated regions.
- Utilizes direct sourcing, internet recruiting, networking, employee referrals, and creative sourcing to identify qualified candidates.
- Develops a thorough understanding of the recruitment marketplace, establishes networks, and maintains awareness of competitor data, industry trends, and best-in-class practices.
- Extracts and analyzes data from ATS and other systems; provides weekly reports to stakeholders and recommends process improvements.
- Tracks candidate status and onboarding process within the ATS; actively dispositions candidates to maintain accurate documentation.
- Develops and maintains relationships with trade schools and military bases to attract talent.
- Ensures compliance with state and federal laws/regulations regarding selection and onboarding; provides guidance to hiring managers on legal requirements.
- Attends and coordinates recruitment and hiring events; tracks attendance data for future planning.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment and/or HR.
- Experience recruiting in skilled trades, high volume, and/or multi-unit environments highly preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS); Greenhouse preferred.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with HR operations, including hiring, payroll, employee benefits, labor law, and compliance.
- Willingness to travel within the designated region up to 25%.
Pay
Pay Range: $35 USD - $38 USD
