The Talent Acquisition/HR Generalist serves as a trusted business partner responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment while supporting key Human Resources initiatives throughout the employee lifecycle. This role is primarily focused on attracting, hiring, and onboarding top talent while partnering with leaders on employee relations, workforce planning, and HR best practices.
About the Role
- Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly, skilled trades, field-based, and professional positions across multiple locations. Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies based on business needs. Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring managers through candidate selection and offer negotiations. Maintain accurate applicant records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure compliance throughout the hiring process. Monitor recruiting metrics and continuously improve hiring processes and candidate experience. Support workforce planning and proactive talent pipeline development.
- Community Engagement & Employer Branding: Represent the company at job fairs, trade schools, workforce development events, military hiring events, and community networking opportunities. Build relationships with educational institutions, workforce agencies, veteran organizations, and community partners to strengthen recruiting efforts. Promote the company's employer brand through community outreach, networking events, recruiting campaigns, and social media.
- Onboarding & New Hire Experience: Coordinate the onboarding process from offer acceptance through orientation. Manage pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, and onboarding documentation. Partner with IT, Facilities, Payroll, and hiring managers to ensure employees have the tools and resources needed for a successful first day. Maintain employee records within the ATS and HRIS while continuously improving the onboarding experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR resource by providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employment practices. Support employee relations, investigations, performance management, leave administration, accommodations, and compliance with employment laws. Maintain employee records and HR documentation while supporting employee engagement, recognition programs, and HR initiatives. Participate in continuous improvement projects and other HR responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of Human Resources experience with a strong focus on full-cycle recruiting.
- Experience supporting high-volume recruiting in construction, utilities, manufacturing, field operations, or multi-site environments preferred.
- Demonstrated success recruiting hourly, skilled trades, technical, field-based, and professional positions.
- Experience building community partnerships and participating in job fairs and recruiting events.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally for recruiting and community events.
- Strong relationship-building, networking, and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication, interviewing, and talent assessment abilities.
- Able to build trust with employees, leaders, and community partners.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Able to maintain confidentiality while demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect.
- Passion for community engagement and developing strategic partnerships that strengthen the organization's talent pipeline.
Qualifications
