Systems Engineer Sr - E3

About the Role

As a Systems Engineer Sr, you will provide independent review and cross-program coordination to ensure subsystem designs and as-built products are mechanically compatible. You will support missile production and test activities at component manufacturers and the Strategic Weapons Facilities, drive anomaly investigations to closure, perform data reviews, and provide feedback to test and integration teams. This role requires travel and off-shift support.

You should have an exceptional work ethic, broad knowledge across multiple topics, strong process focus, attention to detail, and a proven understanding of documentation methods and requirements. This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance, and US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Conduct analyses at all levels of total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions, acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Support missile production and test activities, drive anomaly investigations, and provide feedback to test and integration teams.
• Engage in travel and off-shift support as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions, which may include:
  • System trade studies and/or system modeling
  • Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
  • System Integration, Test, and/or Verification
  • Test planning and execution with an understanding of all interdependencies
  • Design reviews
• Valid Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship required.

Desired Skills

• Experience with spacecraft/missile design, development, integration, or test, with knowledge of space, missile, and launch systems at the component through system level.
• Validated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors.
• Experience coordinating with multiple engineering fields (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.).
• Proven track record of good judgment.
• Demonstrated performance managing hardware.
• Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to this position.
• Active Security Clearance.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $95,900 - $178,100.
