About the role

The Hypersonics Advanced Programs team is seeking a Systems Engineer - Requirements and Verification Engineer for the NeXt generation Glide Body (NXGB) team on a rapid design-to-flight-test project. In this role, you will report to the Systems Engineering Manager and contribute to hypersonic missile development, working across geographically dispersed locations.

Responsibilities

• Derive requirements and interfaces and support specification development in DOORS
• Develop, update, coordinate, and support verification of subsystem requirement specifications
• Support the full life cycle of assigned subsystems or components through development, test, analysis, verification, and flight test
• Support assessments of key performance parameters, technical performance measures, and requirement compliance
• Support formal system design reviews
• Define and integrate interfaces of subsystems and components across the broader system
• Participate in interdisciplinary engineering efforts, adapting to evolving program requirements and timelines
• Use excellent communication skills and self-motivation to collaborate across Lockheed Martin business areas

Requirements

• Experience as a Systems Engineer
• Experience developing, deriving, and/or verifying requirements
• Experience performing requirement traceability gap analysis
• Demonstrated history of applying core systems engineering principles and processes
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Desired Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering
• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering strongly preferred)
• Experience as a systems engineer on a missile or hypersonics development program
• Experience achieving a successful flight test
• Experience writing and verifying requirements specifications
• Proficiency with DOORS
• Experience contributing to major milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
• Experience developing PowerPoint slides and formally briefing customers and executives
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Active or current DoD Secret Security Clearance

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $85,300 – $158,300. Salary is determined by factors including scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market considerations.

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per month and receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
