AWS is seeking an ADC Engineer to own and advance mission critical services in our Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC). We are looking for engineers to work as a team that get excited for building new services and deploying them to air-gapped regions while supporting government customers operating in those regions. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues
  • Developing monitoring solutions
  • Performing software maintenance and configuration
  • Implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, JAVA, Python)
  • Updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges
  • Working alongside development on AWS projects
  • Updating/enhancing our current software
  • Automation of support processes and documentation of our systems

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials)
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
  • Experience with tools for automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring)
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
  • After start, obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting language
  • Experience on highly concurrent, high throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systems

Skills

Programming languages: Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java, Python; automation tools; monitoring solution development; platform diagnosis, response, measurement, and automation; operational scalability design.

Pay

Base salary range: $99,100.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually (Seattle, WA). Total compensation includes sign-on payments and RSUs, varying with experience, qualifications, and location.
