About the role

AWS is seeking an ADC Engineer to own and advance mission-critical services in our Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC). You will deploy AWS Systems Manager (SSM) services to air-gapped regions and support government customers operating in those regions. This role offers the opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, gaining top-notch experience in cloud computing while working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance. After starting, the selected candidate must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues
  • Develop monitoring solutions
  • Perform software maintenance and configuration
  • Implement fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java, Python)
  • Update, track, and resolve technical challenges
  • Work alongside development on AWS projects
  • Update and enhance current software
  • Automate support processes and document systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
  • 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology

Pay

USA, WA, Seattle - $99,100.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
