About the role

This is a senior-level application support role focused on ensuring critical business applications operate efficiently, support organizational workflows, and meet evolving business needs. The position combines technical troubleshooting, business process analysis, project leadership, and stakeholder collaboration to drive application performance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document clinical and business requirements from pharmacy, nursing, physician, and operational stakeholders.
  • Design, configure, implement, and support technology solutions that improve medication management workflows and patient safety.
  • Maintain and optimize Epic Willow Inpatient and related pharmacy applications to ensure reliable system performance.
  • Lead and participate in system upgrades, testing initiatives, validation efforts, and go-live support activities.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and serve as a key escalation point for pharmacy-related system concerns.
  • Support medication build, order sets, formulary management, clinical decision support tools, and pharmacy workflows.
  • Ensure systems comply with healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and patient safety standards.
  • Develop user documentation, training materials, and educational resources to support end-user adoption.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and clinical teams to identify process improvements, enhance system functionality, and reduce medication-related risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5+ years of application support experience.
  • Relevant application certification required.
  • Experience leading projects, system implementations, upgrades, or enhancement initiatives preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to mentor team members and support organizational change initiatives.
