Systems Administrator (SA) Skill Level 1
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology systems.
About the role
In this role, you will manage IT system infrastructure and support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across client, server, storage, network, and mobile environments. You will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, including problem identification, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution, while communicating system status to agency management and internal customers. Responsibilities include supporting dispatch systems, resolving hardware issues, and configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, network components, and operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. You will work in a secure environment supporting critical mission objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology systems.
- Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for system and user issues.
- Manage the daily configuration and operational activities of Information Technology systems.
- Assist users in accessing and effectively using Information Technology systems.
- Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across client, server, storage, network, and mobile device environments.
- Support escalation processes and communicate system status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience as a Systems Administrator supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, OR ten (10) years of Systems Administrator experience if a degree is not held.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.

Pay
Salary range varies based on factors such as geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
