Our work depends on TS/SCI cleared Systems Administrator joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA.

What You'll Do

As a System Administrator (Desktop Support), you will be responsible for providing excellent technical support to end-users, maintaining desktop systems, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems. You will work closely with both on-site and remote users to resolve issues, coordinate upgrades, and provide hands-on support for desktop environments.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Independently developing technical solutions for the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architecture
  • Providing interpretation to Systems matters that are moderately complex in nature
  • Providing troubleshooting support for systems hardware and software issues that are highly complex
  • Performing advanced software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
  • Applying advanced knowledge in monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Providing guidance to less experienced personnel on workstation/server data integrity matters and the implementation of standard software and hardware solutions
  • Leading complex data/media recoverability following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
  • Evaluating and assessing existing systems and planning long term strategies
  • Configuring and maintaining networked computer systems, including hardware, system software, and applications
  • Conducting advanced to complex hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
  • Training end-users on the proper use of hardware and software, potentially including large groups of end users
  • Coaching and reviewing the work of less-experienced professionals
  • Serving as a team or task leader (not a people manager)
  • Providing after hour or weekend support for mission, program and special project support as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret SCI + Polygraph
  • US Citizenship required

  • Thin Client using Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Technology
  • Windows 11, Windows 10, Citrix, SMS, and SCCM
  • End User Hardware: Thin Client, Thick Monitors, KVM's, Printers, Plotters
  • Print Server Configurations, VOIP phone, Desktop Image Management
  • Home Directory and Profile Support Services
  • E-mail Support Services
  • Software Support Services
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills with consistent documentation of work completed
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work flexible schedules
  • Ability to move and lift computers, printers, monitors, and other hardware
  • Team player willing to share knowledge and learn from others
  • Enthusiasm and ability to adapt to new and changing technologies

Certifications

  • Security+ or CASP
  • ITIL v4 Foundations

Pay

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $55,250.00 - $74,750.00. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Schedule

40 hours per week
