Amentum is seeking a System Administrator for a new prime contract based out of our Maryland office.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
- Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Escalate and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
- Support dispatch systems and hardware issues, remaining involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
- Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide in-depth troubleshooting experience for IT systems.
- Deliver detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Adhere to safety and quality policies, including completing training and participating in safety committees.
- Comply with operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements for the job.
Requirements
- Ten (10) years’ experience as a System Administrator on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering, or a related technical discipline. In lieu of a degree, four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted (total of 12–14 years).
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, with a minimum certification of IAM Level I.
Pay
$150,000–$180,000
