Amentum is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator for a new prime contract based out of our Maryland office.
About the Role
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes. Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and other IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Escalate and communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
- Support dispatch systems and hardware issues, remaining involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (primarily Windows) operating systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Maintain integrity and configure network components, implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Optimize system operations, resource utilization, and perform capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide in-depth troubleshooting for IT systems.
- Deliver detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets to management and customers.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and procedure compliance policies as outlined by Amentum.
Requirements
- Ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering, or a related technical field. In lieu of a degree, four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted (total of 14 years).
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, with a minimum certification of IAM Level I.

Pay
$150,000 - $180,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
