Amentum is seeking a Windows System Administrator for a new prime contract based out of our Maryland office.

About the role

Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes. Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and more. This role includes Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution, as well as communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (primarily Windows) operating systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of operating system software.
  • Maintain integrity and configure network components, implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, performing system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide in-depth troubleshooting experience for IT systems.
  • Deliver detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
  • Adhere to safety and quality policies, including completing training requirements and participating in emergency response tasks.
  • Read, understand, and implement operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements for the role.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or four (4) additional years of SA experience in lieu of a degree, totaling fourteen (14) years).
  • Active TS/SCI Poly clearance.
  • Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, with a minimum certification of IAM Level I.

Pay

$140,000–$180,000 per year.
