About the role

As an Advanced Systems Administration Specialist, you’ll serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Your duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications, and training users.

• Day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems
• Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network-related interfaces on servers
• Performing OS and vendor software patching on servers
• Monitoring physical and virtual server performance using monitoring tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience (minimum 5 years); or Master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required at time of hire (U.S. citizenship is required)
• Solid understanding of server-based operating systems
• Enhanced troubleshooting skills within the server OS as well as both networking and storage technologies
• Working knowledge to create and run scripts to automate repetitive processes
• Experience working in Linux environment (RHEL 8, 9, and Red Hat)
• Experience working in Windows environment tooling (desktop, server, Active Directory, Exchange, etc.)
• Familiarity with networking, including firewalls, Cisco, and Juniper switches
• Familiarity with secure development practices in classified environments

Pay

Target salary range: USD $134,257.00/Yr. – USD $141,599.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (e.g., geographic location). Actual pay may vary.
