Advanced Systems Admin Specialist

Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies.
• Install new software, troubleshoot, grant permissions to applications and train users.
• Provide day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot physical and virtual hardware and network-related interfaces on servers.
• Perform OS and vendor software patching on servers.
• Monitor physical and virtual server performance using monitoring tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of server-based operating systems.
• Enhanced troubleshooting skills within the server OS as well as both networking and storage technologies.
• Working knowledge to create and run scripts to automate repetitive processes.
• Experience working in Linux environment to include Rhel 8, 9, & Redhat.
• Experience working in Windows environment tooling (desktop, server, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, etc.).
• Familiarity with networking to include firewalls, CISCO & Juniper switches.
• Familiarity with secure development practices in classified environments.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $139,851.00/Yr. - USD $148,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
