About the role
The System Procurement Manager II will oversee the procurement process for the University of South Carolina, ensuring that all purchases are made efficiently and ethically. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of public procurement practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire procurement process from sourcing to contract management
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Manage the budget and financial aspects of procurement activities
- Provide guidance and support to other departments on procurement matters
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement management
- Experience with public sector procurement processes
- Knowledge of UPPCC, CPPO, or CPPB certifications preferred
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
$66,400.00 - $74,613.00 annual
Schedule
Standard working schedule: 8:30am – 5:00pm. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
