System Director, Environmental Services
About the Role
Lead a goal-oriented hospital housekeeping department to create a team environment that is effective, productive, and rewarding. Together with your team, you will create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the contract scope, exhibits, purchasing responsibilities, asset management, and change-order discipline.
- Lead 200+ employees, including salaried managers, supervisors, and hourly frontline staff across multiple sites (a single tower with several wings does not qualify as multi-campus).
- Develop your management team using a documented competency program you personally sign off on.
- Manage bed turnaround time and patient throughput to support hospital capacity.
- Drive patient experience outcomes tied to cleanliness, including HCAHPS performance.
- Build strong relationships with C-suites, clients, and customers.
- Maintain survey readiness as a permanent condition for OSHA, The Joint Commission, CMS, CDC, Life Safety, regulated medical waste, and state authorities.
- Reduce safety and claims exposure (workers' comp, general liability) through daily risk-mitigation habits.
- Manage vendor and service agreements for pest control, waste, linen, mats, window washing, and curtains.
Note: Must be relocatable and have hospital/healthcare experience.
Requirements
- 2+ years managing salaried and hourly employees.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software.

Pay
Salary: 125,000 USD Annual
