System Analyst

About the Role

Our client is a premier, rapidly scaling Healthcare Technology enterprise that develops integrated Electronic Health Record systems and automated clinical workflows for hospitals and healthcare networks nationwide. We are seeking an analytical, solution-oriented Systems Analyst to serve as the critical architectural link between our clinical users, business operations, and core software engineering teams. In this role, you will use your technical expertise to evaluate our current healthcare software systems, map complex clinical workflows, diagnose system integration gaps, and design functional technical specifications that directly improve how doctors and nurses care for patients.

Responsibilities

• Workflow & Systems Documentation: Analyze and document current clinical workflows and technical system configurations, identifying operational friction points and software gaps.
• Requirements Gathering & Translation: Interview healthcare providers, hospital administrators, and product managers to translate complex medical business needs into detailed technical specifications and data flow diagrams for the development team.
• Integration & Interface Support: Assist in mapping data exchanges between disparate healthcare systems, ensuring seamless integration using modern healthcare interoperability protocols (such as HL7 and FHIR).
• System Testing & Validation: Collaborate with QA teams to develop system test scripts and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that newly deployed system features precisely match technical specifications.
• Production Support & Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and triaging escalated system integration failures or application bugs, coordinating with backend engineering to implement permanent system patches.

Qualifications

• Education & Domain Literacy: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Professional/Academic Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience (inclusive of robust systems analysis internships, university capstone projects involving database design, or technical IT support within a corporate setting).
• SQL & Database Literacy: Solid foundational proficiency in writing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.
• System Mapping & Tooling: Familiarity with collaborative diagramming software (such as Lucidchart, Visio, or Miro) to construct clear data-flow diagrams, system architecture schemas, and UML models.
• Healthcare Protocol Awareness: A basic understanding of or exposure to healthcare industry compliance standards (like HIPAA) and data protocols (such as HL7, FHIR, or EHR platform management) is a massive plus but not strictly required.
• Communication & Tech Polish: Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills. You must be equally comfortable explaining technical constraints to a doctor and clinical requirements to a software engineer.

• Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 base structure + Performance Bonus & Premium Corporate Health Benefits.
