System Analyst

About the role

The Systems Analyst manages assigned applications, servers and workstations through their lifecycle — requirements, testing, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting and decommissioning. This role provides day-to-day technical support, coordinates with business stakeholders and vendors, contributes to project delivery and testing, and maintains operational documentation and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Reliable operations. Assigned systems are available and meet business expectations.
• Effective incident & problem handling. Incidents are diagnosed, escalated appropriately, and resolved with clear documentation and root-cause follow-up.
• Disciplined change execution. Upgrades, patches and deployments are planned and executed with clear test plans and minimal disruption.
• Trusted user support. Business users receive consultative, timely support and guidance.
• Operational readiness and compliance. Runbooks and procedures are current and work adheres to regulatory and security requirements.

Selection Criteria

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Four or more years supporting production systems in enterprise or financial environments; or combination of applicable work experience, education, and certification
• Hands-on Microsoft Windows Server administration; experience with Linux and/or AIX
• Experience with relational databases as well as unstructured and semi-structured data
• Experience supporting application stacks and vendor solutions
• Experience with IT service management tools
• Basic scripting or automation skills for operational tasks
• Demonstrated ability to independently support multiple production systems, owning availability, runbooks and test plans, vendor coordination, patching and upgrades, backup validation, and incident post-mortems
• Participates in the IT on-call rotation and responsible for incident resolution

Environmental/Working Conditions

• Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting
• Travel to branches requires exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions
