System Administrator 2 (CBB) with Security Clearance

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the stability and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes managing server environments, network configurations, and ensuring compliance with security policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain server environments, including virtual machines and physical servers.
• Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement and monitor security measures to protect the organization's data and systems.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support across different systems.
• Document procedures and best practices for system administration tasks.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on security.
• Proven experience in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with cloud-based services and virtualization technologies.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• CISSP certification preferred.

Skills

• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
