System Administrator 2

About the role

The System Administrator 2 position is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes managing server operations, network administration, and ensuring data security.

Responsibilities

• Manage server operations, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Administer network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot system issues.
• Perform routine security audits and implement security measures to protect company data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or administration.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using tools such as Microsoft Office, VMware, and Cisco products.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of virtualization technologies and containerization.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
