System Administrator 2

About the role

The System Administrator 2 position is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes managing server operations, network administration, and ensuring data security.

Responsibilities

• Manage server operations, including monitoring performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Administer network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and secure connectivity.
• Implement and maintain data backup and recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
• Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration or a similar role.
• Proficient in Windows Server, Linux, and network protocols.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification preferred.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and scripting languages like Python or Bash.

Skills

• Technical proficiency in operating systems and networking.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
