Operators are trusted to manage high call volumes, assist patients and visitors, and support staff communication across the organization.

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

Responsibilities

• Operates the telephone switchboard and routes calls to appropriate personnel.
• Announces necessary codes with accuracy and implements emergency response and Rapid Response teams utilizing electronic methods.
• Prompts reports all alarm variances to the security or facilities department as appropriate.
• Exercises sound judgement in the process and issuance of code requests to include assessing severity, type, authenticity, etc.
• Announces all codes in a timely, clear, and calm manner.
• Obtains all necessary information from callers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service role.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years' experience in a customer service role required.
• Experience utilizing multi-line switchboard in a healthcare environment preferred.

Pay

Hourly Range: $15–$17

Schedule

Part Time. Variable Shifts. Rotate Weekends & Holidays. PRN.
