About the role

The Senior Vice President, Originator is responsible for developing new client relationships with venture-backed technology companies, leading originations efforts with venture capital firms and their portfolios, and structuring appropriate debt financing. This role also supports existing client needs as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new client relationships with venture-backed technology companies
  • Lead originations efforts with venture capital firms and their portfolios
  • Structure appropriate debt financing
  • Support existing client needs as appropriate
  • Market the Bank and develop relationships with venture capital firms, growth equity firms, and venture-backed technology companies, and other key contacts within the entrepreneurial ecosystem
  • Manage documentation, negotiate terms, and close credit requests with limited assistance or counsel
  • Adhere to all corporate compliance and regulatory needs including but not limited to all compliance training, Reg B, NOD, CDD, etc.
  • Aid in developing less experienced bankers and analysts in your area of influence
  • Involvement in interviewing and hiring decisions
  • Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling
  • Manage, support, coach, and train employees

Requirements

  • 8+ years of venture technology innovation banking experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring, and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to Regulation Z, Regulation B, Fair Housing Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Bank Secrecy Act, AML, CIP, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and Community Reinvestment Act

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Pay

The base salary offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
