About the role
The Senior Vice President, Originator is responsible for developing new client relationships with venture-backed technology companies, leading originations efforts with venture capital firms and their portfolios, and structuring appropriate debt financing. This role also supports existing client needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop new client relationships with venture-backed technology companies
- Lead originations efforts with venture capital firms and their portfolios
- Structuring appropriate debt financing
- Support existing client needs as appropriate
- Sell all products offered by the Bank while focusing on venture debt opportunities
- Work with the team to reach budgeted financial goals
- Market the Bank and develop relationships with venture capital firms, growth equity firms, and venture-backed technology companies, and other key contacts within the entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Adhere to all corporate compliance and regulatory needs including but not limited to all compliance training, Reg B, NOD, CDD, etc.
- Manage documentation, negotiating terms, and closing credit requests with limited assistance or counsel
- Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling
- Manage, support, coach and train employees
Requirements
- 8+ years of venture technology innovation banking experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience/training
- Knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring, and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position, including but not limited to Regulation Z, Regulation B, Fair Housing Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Bank Secrecy Act, AML, CIP, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and Community Reinvestment Act
- High School diploma or equivalent required

- Experience in sales, banking, or finance
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners

The base salary offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
