Survey Technician II
About the role
Survey Technician II reports to the project managers and performs technical tasks on a complex level to support projects while working with office and field staff to process incoming information and produce final project deliverables. This position occasionally includes field work.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish the daily processing of lidar data utilizing the Pennoni standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable project and industry principles through frequent supervision and guidance of manager;
- May be required to provide training and instruction to one or two staff members in best practices, standards, and other pertinent topics;
- Execute routine assessments and activities at a higher degree;
- Present quality control assistance of client-specific deliverables;
- Complete QC checks on-site to verify the quality of work;
- Support the Company to achieve its vision and mission to create smarter and more sustainable places for people to live, visit, and work;
- Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the Company's strategic goals;
- Must be willing and able to travel to project sites, if requested.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or higher;
- Minimum of one-year of relevant experience required;
- Strong computer and technical skills;
- Civil3D, Revit, MicroStation, or similar application is a plus.
Qualifications
- Proficient in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus;
- Solid work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a "team-player" attitude;
- Great listening, writing, and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Understanding of office workflow processes and problem-solving techniques;
- Proficiency in technical math, geometry, and trigonometry;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Pay
$40K - $90k (per year)
