About the Role

Surrey has connected people and resources for nearly 45 years, creating a vibrant community of older adults. We offer programs and services that help older adults remain safe and engaged in our community.

Responsibilities

• Plate lunches and sides
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Clean up and load dishwasher
• Set tables before lunch
• Serve food, drinks, and desserts to tables
• Post-lunch clean up: clear and scrape dishes

Schedule

• Kitchen Volunteers: morning hours
• Café Volunteers: 11:00–1:30

Bryn Mawr, Broomall, Devon, or Media

Programs & Services Overview

• Nutritious meals available in-person or Grab and Go Monday-Friday at Devon, Broomall, and Media
• Transportation services, fee-based and free, provided by volunteers, Surrey Drivers, and through partnerships with Chester County Community Transit and others
• Home care services including RN Care Management (medication management and care), personal care (bathing and dressing), and Personal Finance Management (bills, insurance claims, long-term care policies)
• Opportunities to downsize and consign with the Surrey Consignment Shop
• Free instruction, support, and hands-on training for family caregivers and aspiring caregivers at The Surrey Academy
