Cafeteria/Cafe Snack Bar (District Wide)

About the role

Prepares food and beverages to be sold in a school cafeteria snack bar.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food and beverages ensuring good quality and quantity.
• Operates snack bar cash register.
• Assists in serving and clean up.
• Fills in wherever needed each day.
• Ensures cleanliness of unit.
• Ensures food items are kept safe, using ServSafe methods.
• Communicates with facility assistant to ensure equipment is working properly.
• Communicates with Director or Manager over unit.

Requirements

• Previous cafeteria experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Accuracy and detail-oriented.

Working Environment

The role requires the following physical demands: the employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Pay

Salary based on Grade B of the approved Food Services Salary schedule as established by the Governing Board.

Schedule

10-month position.
