Cafeteria/Cafe Snack Bar

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares food and beverages ensuring good quality and quantity
• Operates snack bar cash register
• Aid in serving and clean up
• Fill in wherever needed each day
• Ensure cleanliness of unit
• Ensure food items are kept safe, using servsafe methods
• Communicate with facility assistant to ensure equipment is working properly
• Communicate with Director or Manager over unit

Experience

• Previous cafeteria experience a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Accuracy and detail orientated

Working Environment

• The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands;
• The employee is frequently required to sit;
• Reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand;
• Walk.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Terms of Employment

• Salary based on Grade B of the approved Food Services Salary schedule as established by the Governing Board.
• 10 month position
• Full Benefits as assigned for the position.

Clearances

• Criminal Justice/Fingerprint Clearance
• Measles/Mumps/Rubella Immunity/Vaccination
• Valid I-9 form
