About the Role

This role involves delivering world-class customer service, ensuring product quality, and maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced café environment.

Responsibilities

• Embody and promote La Farm values in all interactions.
• Provide world-class customer service with urgency and enthusiasm.
• Ensure product quality through fresh ingredients, consistent recipe execution, and appealing presentation.
• Prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently, following La Farm systems and recipes.
• Process monitor data to meet ticket time goals.
• Operate equipment (e.g., turbo chef, stove) safely and effectively.
• Merchandise products to La Farm standards, including proper signage, packaging, and labeling.
• Create catering platters based on daily special orders.
• Perform proper rotation and quality control of ingredients.
• Complete daily checklists, logs, build cards, and production sheets.
• Follow opening and closing procedures to maintain standards.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Answer phones and communicate order statuses or product availability to the team.
• Assist with delivering food to customers as needed.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards to achieve a grade “A” or better in health inspections.
• Uphold company policies and ensure safe working conditions.

Requirements

• Experience in a culinary field, including prep and/or line work.
• Knowledge of weights, volume, and cooking procedures.
• High proficiency in reading recipes and build cards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and customer service skills.
• Ability to solve business-related problems quickly and efficiently.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a positive, team-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and non-consecutive days off.
• Ability to develop cooperative working relationships with others.
• Multi-lingual skills are a plus.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work effectively in a confined area.
• Capability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Continuous use of hands and arms, including bending, reaching, and twisting.
