Surgical Technologist II PRN

Job Summary

The role of the OR Tech II is to assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment, and supplies. The OR Tech II in 701 Surgery provides care for birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire
• Competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery
