Radiology Technologist II - PRN

About the role

The Radiology Technologist II position is available on a PRN (Per Request) basis. Located at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, this role requires a graduate of an approved education program and three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Essential responsibilities include performing diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-Ray exams and fluoroscopy procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures and provide direct patient care.
• Provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members.
• Ensure proper sterile techniques and follow safety standards.
• Document patient procedures accurately and enter charges at the time of service.
• Participate in department initiatives and seek opportunities for growth and innovation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved education program.
• Three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT).
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
• BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA).

• Demonstrated ability to safely perform job duties.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for patient and exam document management.
• Ability to work independently and handle challenging situations.
