Radiology Technologist II - PRN
About the role
The Radiology Technologist II position is available on a PRN (Per Request) basis. Located at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, this role requires a graduate of an approved education program and three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Essential responsibilities include performing diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-Ray exams and fluoroscopy procedures.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures and provide direct patient care.
- Provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members.
- Ensure proper sterile techniques and follow safety standards.
- Document patient procedures accurately and enter charges at the time of service.
- Participate in department initiatives and seek opportunities for growth and innovation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved education program.
- Three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT).
- CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA).

- Demonstrated ability to safely perform job duties.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for patient and exam document management.
- Ability to work independently and handle challenging situations.
