Surgical Technologist II
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Surgical Technician will assist during surgical procedures, demonstrating knowledge and skills in aseptic technique, setting up equipment, and managing supplies. They must be licensed, registered, and have entry-level to one year of experience as a Surgery Technician.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance during surgical procedures
- Demonstrate aseptic technique and set up required equipment and sterile supplies
- Pull and break down cases as needed
- Handle medications, syringes, needles, and other instruments under the supervision of a registered nurse
Requirements
- Current BLS Certification through AHA or ARC
- Registration as a Surgical Tech by Colorado Division of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
- Graduation from an accredited program for Operating Room Technicians
- Entry level to one year of experience as a Surgery Technician
Qualifications
- Basic to advanced knowledge in the scrub role and responsibilities for multiple surgical specialties
- Good organizational skills
- Positive and professional communication with all internal and external customers
