Surgical Technologist - Full-Time Days

About the role

Surgical Technologist is responsible for functioning as the scrub nurse, assisting with surgical procedures and providing patient care across various age groups, aligned with hospital policies and nursing department goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring appropriate patient care.
• Maintain sterile techniques and prepare operating rooms.
• Support nursing staff and surgical team during operations.
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment efficiently.
• Ensure safety protocols and infection control standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of medical/surgical or OR experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through a recognized program (e.g., NBSTSA).
• Strong manual dexterity, motor coordination, and physical stamina.
• Ability to perform prolonged standing, lifting, pulling, and pushing, sometimes with significant physical effort.
• Ability to work in environments with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
