Surgical Technician (CST) - OR General Surgery

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient conditions.
• Coordinates care among various healthcare professionals.
• Determines and communicates patient discharge planning needs.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Delegates tasks to other nursing personnel as needed.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds.
• Contributes to the development of individualized care plans.
• Engages in professional development activities.

Requirements

• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified Surgical Tech specializing in Surgery credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program required.
• Experience in surgical technology preferred.
