Certified Surgical Technician (CST) -OR Surgery

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient conditions.
• Coordinates care among various healthcare professionals.
• Determines and executes discharge planning needs.
• Evaluates and addresses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs.
• Delegates tasks to other nursing personnel as needed.
• Participates in interdisciplinary patient rounds.
• Contributes to the development of individualized care plans.
• Engages in ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Hold certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Graduated from an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Obtained Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross prior to hire or job transfer date.
• Have relevant prior surgical technician experience (preferred).
