Surgical Tech Coordinator

About the Role

Collaborates with the medical team to assess patient preoperative needs, manages instrumentation, equipment, supplies, and procedures within a surgical specialty, and plans and coordinates intraoperative patient care. Participates in scrub and circulating duties and the on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensures effective patient care during surgery
• Supports the surgical team
• Maintains instrument and supply readiness within the surgical specialty

Requirements

• Post-high school vocational or specialized training for CST or CSFA certification
• At least two years of OR experience

Skills & Certifications

• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment
• AHA BLS certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA)
