Surgical Services Scheduler (Per Diem)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience in a hospital or medical related field with use of computers and data entry functions
• Two to four years of experience in a hospital or medical related field with advanced knowledge of computers and data entry functions

Experience

• Fluent in English
• Working knowledge of medical terminology to include CPT codes and ICD codes
• Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation skills
• Proficient computer skills to include working knowledge of Windows based software, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs

• Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information
• Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation skills necessary
• Strong customer service skills and excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers
• Ability to work in stressful environment and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple priorities
