Patient Scheduler - Per Diem

About the role

Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating with patients via phone to provide information and coordinate diagnostic procedures and treatments within a healthcare system.

Responsibilities

• Schedule complex exams with attention to detail
• Verify patient demographic and insurance data
• Manage high call volumes efficiently
• Utilize multiple computer applications and scheduling software
• Interact with physicians, radiologists, technologists, and patients to ensure smooth coordination
• Adhere to scheduling protocols and review previous reports
• Notify relevant parties of special requirements such as labs or premedication
• Perform additional duties as needed based on departmental requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
