About the role
The Operational Coordinator will assist the Surgical Services Director in various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Compiling the annual operational and capital budget for Surgical Services Main OR and SC.
- Communicating with vendors, materials management, physicians, directors, coworkers, hospital departments regarding departmental needs.
- Acquiring quotes, assisting with financial analysis, setting up equipment trials, and reviewing for purchases.
- Coordinating, monitoring, evaluating departments, equipment, instrumentation, contracts, and supplies.
- Aiding SS managers in maintaining standards and protocols.
Requirements
- High school education.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree.
- Five to ten years of experience in Surgical Services.
- Experience as a manager or supervisor within Surgical Services.
- Direct experience with the accreditation survey process.
Qualifications
- Certified in related field within two years of hire.
Skills
- Written and spoken communications, including leading groups.
- Proficiency in gathering and presenting statistical data using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
