Surgical / OR Tech II, Mid Shift

About the role

In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients, maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.

Responsibilities

• Scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team (verbally and written)
• Make calls as required
• Multitask and work independently

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an OR Technician training program
• 2–3 years of experience as a surgical technician
• Certified Surgical Technician (required)
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association

Schedule

• 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Every other weekend and holiday
• Full-time

Pay

$30.65 – $37.58 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
